Urban Arrow cargo e-bikes recalled: seatpost bolt can break
Which Urban Arrow e-bikes are recalled, and what should owners do?
Gazelle USA is recalling about 1,032 Urban Arrow cargo e-bikes sold in the US from 2016 through 2022 because a seatpost clamp bolt can break. Owners should stop riding them and get a free replacement seatpost and saddle.
CPSC announced recall 27-004 on October 1, 2026. It covers the Urban Arrow Family, Shorty and Cargo L/XL (black or white) and the Tender 1000/1500 (white).
The front bolt in the seatpost clamp can break, which lets the seat come loose and creates a fall hazard. Gazelle USA has received nine reports of damage or wear to the saddle-seatpost connection. No injuries have been reported.
The bikes sold at specialty bike stores nationwide from 2016 through 2022 for about $9,000. About 134 more were sold in Canada.
Contact Gazelle USA for a free replacement seatpost and saddle. You can install it yourself or have an Urban Arrow dealer do it at no charge.
Urban Arrow is the only e-bike recall CPSC posted between July 15 and October 23, 2026, by our check of CPSC's recall list.
