It can be assumed that it is the inner diameter of the rim, but keep in mind that the spoke is best kept in the nipple, the nipple and the spoke thread fully overlap. In connection with this, the length of the nipple hidden in the rim should be added to the length of the spoke. This is usually 2-3mm, thus, the diameter of the spoke end is about 4-6 mm greater than the inner diameter of the rim.

The inner diameter of the rim is difficult to measure, so it can be counted by subtracting the 2x height of the profile of the rim from its outer diameter.

The diameter of the spoke holes in the engine is assumed for this parameter, counting to the outer edge of the hole.

The distance of the beginning of the spoke mounted in the engine flange to the wheel axis. In some engines, the flange with holes for the spokes is positioned centrally with respect to the wheel axis, so that the distance from the axis of the wheel is identical on both sides (Example A). There are often engines, where the flange with holes for the spokes is not centered with respect to the wheel axis, so it may be necessary to choose a different length of the spokes for both sides of the wheel (Example B).

The number of crosses, i.e. the points of intersection of one spoke with the other spokes, arranged on the same side of the wheel.

**1.** The diameter of the end of the spokes
